Mark T. Scheffer

Since entering practice in 1984, Mark Scheffer has represented families and businesses in Madison and surrounding communities, Dane County, the State of Wisconsin and throughout the country. His areas of expertise include estate planning and probate, elder law, residential and commercial real estate, and general business law and incorporations. Mark has been named by Madison Magazine as one of Madison’s best lawyers in the areas of real estate law and trusts and estate planning, and most recently in elder law. Through the State Bar of Wisconsin and other legal and social organizations, he has lectured at seminars for attorneys and accountants on estate planning and probate topics, and he has spoken to various senior groups on estate planning, probate, guardianships, health care powers of attorney and related areas of interest. In the past, he also served as a volunteer rent abatement hearing examiner for the City of Madison.
