David D. Relles

David Relles AttorneyDavid Relles grew up in Superior, Wisconsin. David is a 1973 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a 1977 graduate of the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. He is a former assistant district attorney of Outagamie County, Wisconsin and a master member of the James E. Doyle Inn of Court, on whose executive committee he has served. David has over 30 years’ experience in civil litigation and criminal defense, including personal injury, medical malpractice, business litigation, and defense of professional licenses. He has been named by Madison Magazine as one of Dane County’s best lawyers in the area of personal injury law.

David has been very involved in local, regional, and international community efforts, including:

  • Coach, Little League baseball and YMCA basketball for boys and girls aged 9-14, off and on over the past 15 years
  • Spokesperson for NoDaneCasino, a group that successfully opposed the placement of a casino in the City of Madison
  • Worked with the Wisconsin Legislature to draft legislation to improve the ability of Wisconsin businesses to recover losses from retail theft and bad checks
  • Member of Mt. Horeb Rotary Club for the past 10 years
  • Lecturer on trial advocacy, University of Wisconsin Law School
  • Member, board of directors, Combat Blindness Foundation, an organization devoted to eradicating blindness for some of the poorest citizens in the world
  • Member, fee arbitration committee of the State Bar of Wisconsin, establishing rules for client disputes of their legal fees; serve on arbitration panels

David has been married to Hollie for more than 33 years, and they have two adult children, Nathan and Noah.
